University professors make academic visit to SXU

On the invitation of the College of Life Science of Shanxi University, professor Roy Ambli Dalmo from the Arctic University of Norway and professor Chi Heng from Ocean University of China made an academic visit to SXU on Nov 28, according to SXU officials.

Professor Roy Ambli Dalmo presented an academic report entitled "Tips and trick to achieve funding -- my personal experiences". Meanwhile, professor Chi Heng gave a lecture entitled “Fish Neutrophil Extracellular Traps -- Production Mechanism and Its Antibacterial Effect”.

About Roy Ambli Dalmo

Roy Ambli Dalmo is a professor from the Norwegian College of Fishery Science at the Arctic University of Norway and a special appointed professor of Shanxi province.

He has long been engaged in research into fish molecular immunization and vaccine engineering.

In recent years, he has published more than 70 academic papers and eight books. He also served as guest editor of five international magazines, and fund reviewer of nine countries and international organizations.

About Chi Heng

Chi Heng obtained a doctorate from a joint program at the Arctic University of Norway and the Ocean University of China in January, 2012, and is now a professor of the Ocean University of China.

Chi has years experiences of studying fish cell immunology and vaccine development and published more than 30 academic papers. Chi now also serves as the reviewer of journals such as the Frontiers in Immunology, Veterinary Microbiology, Microbial Pathogenesis.
