The second Social Education Forum was successfully held at Shanxi University in Taiyuan, the capital of northern Shanxi province on Nov 26, according to SXU officials.

The forum, which had the theme Lifelong Education and Learning Society, was sponsored by the School of Education Science and the Social Education Research Center of Shanxi University.

The forum was divided into several sections, officials said.

Participants exchanged and discussed issues such as foreign social transformation and lifelong learning policies and practices, China's lifelong learning practice development, lifelong education theory, stadium pedagogy, as well as the construction of a lifelong learning education system for all of society.

The forum was attended by more than 100 teachers and students from home and abroad including participants from the University of Tokyo, Beijing Normal University, Capital Normal University and Henan University.
