Ma Junfeng, China's preeminent researcher into Value Philosophy, was hired as a professor at the Academy of Marxism at Shanxi University, according to SXU officials.

Vice principal Yin Jie, on behalf of Shanxi University, extended a warm welcome to professor Ma and extolled his academic achievements in the study of Marxist theory.

Yin said that SXU would create a good scientific research and teaching environment to support Ma adapting to the university environment as soon as possible, and make the most of Ma’s strengths.

Yin also expressed his hopes that an excellent Marxist philosophy research team at Shanxi University would be formed under the guidance of professor Ma.

Professor Ma Junfeng was born in Jishan in Shanxi province. He obtained his doctorate and served as director of the Marxism Philosophy Research Office at Renmin University.

Ma has years of experience in research and teaching Marxism Philosophy and published more than 150 academic papers in domestic and overseas journals.
