On the invitation of the School of Foreign Language of Shanxi University, professor Zhang Wenzhong from Nankai University gave a lecture at SXU on Nov 15, according to SXU officials

The lecture aimed to help improve the teaching of foreign languages at universities and colleges, especially English as a second language.

Zhang Wenzhong is a professor and a doctoral supervisor at the School of Foreign Language at Nankai University.

He has been long engaged in the research of English classroom teaching models, second language acquisition, academic writing norms and applied linguistics.

Zhang has made keynote speeches in national academic conferences many times and has been invited to give lectures at universities such as Peking University and Lowa State University.

In recent years, Zhang published three books and more than 70 academic journals in leading domestic and international journals.
