Shanxi University in Taiyuan, in northern Shanxi province, held a training session for career planning and guidance teachers on Nov 6-8, attracting the participation of 61 teachers.

SXU invited career development instructor Jin Guoliang from the National Career Development Association to give lectures.

The aim was to promote the development of SXU career planning and guidance for students, as well as further improve the theoretical and practical abilities of counselors, career guidance teachers and relevant school staff.

University officials said the training not only expected to improve the participants’ skills sets, but also help give them have a new understanding of the career guidance field, laying a solid foundation for them to teach career planning and career guidance related courses in the future.

In recent years, SXU has organized and encouraged teachers and school staff to participate in various kinds of training.

It has organized and staged many types of training, conducive to building up the school's employment guidance, which is seen as of great significance to improve their job and career prospects.
