SXU's first career planning experience week launches

A launch ceremony for the first university students’ experience week for career planning was held at the Wucheng campus of Shanxi University in Taiyuan, capital of northern Shanxi province on Oct 26, SXU university officials said.

It attracted the participation of 1,600 people in charge of graduate employment guidance centers and leaders and student representatives from each academy and department.

At the ceremony, Li Fuming, deputy Party secretary of SXU, said that university students' career planning experience event could answer any questions not previously covered by career advice elsewhere. He urged students to value the opportunity and participate in and experience different careers.

According to SXU officials, the event lasted for two days and involved 6,000 students in various career experiences. The career planning experience week is not only an innovative by SXU’s career planning department, but also provides effective employment guidance.

SXU’s Career Guidance Center will analyze and summarize feedback from student participation in the event, officials said.

It will explore new modes of employment guidance, improve employment services forms and provide students with higher quality and more comprehensive career planning and employment guidance, officials added.
