On the invitation of professors from the Academy of Music of Shanxi University, a delegation from the China Conservatory of Music gave a concert at SXU in Taiyuan, the capital of North China’s Shanxi province, Oct 27.

Led by Professor Yu Mingqing, the first doctoral supervisor of cello in China and professor of the conservatory’s orchestral instruments department, his chamber orchestra performed many works from different eras, backgrounds and styles for SXU’s students and teachers.

According to SXU officials, teachers and students majoring in music and many non-music majors watched the excellent concert.
