Shanxi University organized a lecture on telecommunications fraud and a fire emergency evacuation drill on Sept 12 to improve students’ safety awareness.

The events were targeted at the 4,000 new freshmen entering the school.

Police officer Xu Kunqi from the anti-fraud center of the Taiyuan municipal public security bureau introduced different types of telecom fraud, how to prevent telecom fraud, and some real-life cases involving telecom fraud.

During a fire drill held the same day, firefighters from the Taiyuan municipal fire bureau introduced firefighting equipment such as fire extinguishers.
