SXU professors participate in academic exchanges in Germany, France

Li Sidian, deputy Party secretary of Shanxi University, and Wei Xuehong, director of the Large Scientific Instrument Center, were invited to participate in an academic exchange event and explore scientific cooperation in Germany and France from Aug 26 to Sept 7.

The two Shanxi University professors paid a 13-day visit to the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry of the Aachen University of Technology in Germany and the University of Strasbourg in France and met with Professor Ulli Englert and Professor Jern-Merie Lehn, who has won the Bell Chemistry Prize and is considered the father of supramolecules.

Li Sidian delivered an academic report entitled “Boron Nanomaterials: from planar borophenes, cage-like borospherenes, to boronanotubes” at the Aachen University of Technology and one entitled “B/C Analogy andFluxional Bonds in Chemistry: From Planar Borophenes, Cage-Like Borospherenes, and Boron Nanotubes to Their Metal-Doped Nanostructures” at the University of Strasbourg.
