The 2nd International Conference on Boron Chemistry (ICBC-II), sponsored by the Chinese Chemical Society and co-organized by Shanxi University, Henan Normal University, and the Shanxi Chemical Society, was held in Taiyuan, Shanxi province, from July 14 to 17.

Around 400 experts, scholars, and postgraduates involved in boron chemistry and nanomaterials from 12 countries and regions, including the United States, Germany, Japan, and Poland, attended the conference.

ICBC-II consisted of plenary lectures, talks, oral presentations, and a poster section showcasing over 120 paper abstracts.

New findings in the fields of boron chemistry and nanomaterials involving syntheses and characterizations, electronic structures and chemical bonding, dynamics and catalysis, and other properties and applications of boron compounds and nanoclusters were presented and discussed during the conference.

The conference served as a platform for developing cooperation between Shanxi University and global boron chemistry and nanomaterials insiders.
