The cutting-edge Shanxi Optoelectronics Information Industry Postgraduate Education and Innovation Center -- jointly launched by Shanxi University and Foxconn (Jincheng) Science and Technology Industrial Park -- was founded at Shanxi University on May 24.

The center will train and cultivate leading professionals in the optoelectronics information field based on Shanxi University's educational know-how and Foxconn's edge in research and development.

According to a previously signed memorandum, the two sides will utilize the center to train Foxconn optoelectronics engineers and develop and nurture the careers of postgraduates.
