A ceremony marking the establishment of an aesthetic education and practice base jointly developed by Shanxi University and Taiyuan Foreign Language School was held on Jan 8.

The partnership was the first collaboration between a university and a high school in Shanxi province in hopes of promoting aesthetic education among teenagers and improving the cultural atmosphere for its growth.

The two sides will cooperate on the cultivation of aesthetic education teachers, by offering further professional education and training, as well as teaching and conducting research. Regular aesthetic lectures by university teachers targeting high school students will be also be given.
