Zhao Dunhua, a professor of philosophy at Peking University, was appointed visiting professor at Shanxi University (SXU), on Jan 8.

The professor is well known in academic circles for his work on the philosophies of Christianity and the Western World, as well as Chinese-Western comparative philosophy.

To mark his letter of appointment from SXU President Huang Guitian, Zhao delivered a lecture on the scientific spirit of Western philosophy.
