A delegation from the Confucius Institute at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) met with representatives of the School of Foreign Languages at Shanxi University (SXU), on Dec 7.

The two sides discussed developing disciplines, teacher training and student exchange visits.

Increasing levels of international trade and cultural communication are generating more demand for professionals able to speak more than one language, thus the necessity of developing foreign language training.

The UNCC is known for its excellent Spanish teaching. SXU School of Foreign Languages and UNCC reached a preliminary agreement to cooperate in the teaching of Spanish, and in training teachers and designing curriculums.
