Liu Haiyun, an undergraduate from Shanxi University, won the women's B group 100 m and 200 m backstroke race during the 18th China Collegiate Swimming Championship in Wuhan, Hubei province, qualifying her to take part in the 2019 Universiade in Italy.

Sponsored by the Federation of the University Sports of China, the championship, which was held from Dec 1 to 4, attracted more than 860 athletes and coaches from 61 universities and colleges across China.
