A graduation ceremony for the 2018 Shanxi class of overseas Chinese language and culture teachers was held at Shanxi University (SXU) on Nov 13.

The training was sponsored by the Chinese Language and Culture Education Foundation of China and organized by the foreign affairs office of Shanxi Provincial Government and Shanxi University.

During the 10-day training session, 20 Chinese language and culture teachers from 10 countries including Egypt, Australia, Panama, the Netherlands and the United States took courses on traditional Chinese culture covering ancient poetry, calligraphy, painting, Chinese knot-tying, paper cutting, martial arts and Shanxi noodle making.

The trainees also visited Yao Dianzhong Arts Museum, the history museum of Shanxi University and Affiliated Primary School of Shanxi University.
