A conference was held to mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Shanxi Provincial Committee of Jiusan Society at Shanxi University in Taiyuan on Oct 13.

The attendees were Wu Weihua, chairman of the Central Committee of Jiusan Society, Xu Guangguo, director of United Front Work Department of Shanxi Provincial Committee, and Wei Xiaochun, head of Association for Promoting Democracy of Shanxi Provincial Committee.

The conference comprehensively summed up the work conducted in the society, and put forward new requirements to members and management in order to meet the need of the new situation.

Shanxi University organized art performances in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the society.
