As a celebration of the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, Shanxi University (SXU) Party committee engaged in poverty alleviation in recent weeks.

Shi Shuai, secretary of Shanxi University Party committee, and Han Yonghong, vice-chancellor of SXU, along with nearly 100 cadres from the university’s separate departments visited villages in Jingle county, Shanxi province.

Shi, on behalf the SXU, donated 500,000 yuan ($74,818) to the two villages the school focused on helping.
