Updated: 2018-05-15

International Conference on Nonlinear Analysis and the 20th National Nonlinear Functional Analysis Conference was convened in Taiyuan, Shanxi province on May 12, gathering over 500 experts from mathematical colleges and scientific research institutes to attend.

The National Non-Linear Functional Analysis Conference is organized every two years by Chinese Society of Nonlinear Functional Analysis.

The conference aims to build academic exchange platforms for colleagues in related fields, encourage and support the cultivation of young scholars, reflect the new progress of research on related topics, and promote the development and international exchange of nonlinear analysis research in China.

The topics of the conference include many aspects of nonlinear analysis, especially the theory of nonlinear functional analysis and its application in related fields.

The 20th National Nonlinear Functional Analysis Conference was organized by the School of Mathematical Sciences of Shanxi University. The school has a doctorate degree in mathematics and three master's degree programs in mathematics, statistics, control science and engineering. There are three undergraduate majors in mathematics and applied mathematics, information and computing science, and statistics.

The opening ceremony was hosted by Li Fuyi, dean of the School of Mathematical Sciences of Shanxi University. Li Sidian, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Shanxi University delivered a welcome speech.

On May 13, experts and scholars from all over the country made 50 separate academic reports.

The conference has broadened horizons, enhanced friendship, inspired innovation, and opened up new paths for future theoretical research and cooperation in sector of nonlinear analysis.
