Shanxi University holds energy seminar

The first session of the IEA Coal Market Report 2017 in conjunction with the Seminar on Sustainable Development of Energy was convened at Shanxi University on Jan 26.

The event was co-organized by International Energy Agency (IEA), Shanxi University and the Ecological Environment Institute of Shanxi Province.

There were over 60 officials, researchers and entrepreneurs attended the seminar including Tu Jianjun, director of the Chinese Cooperation Department of IEA; Mr. Keisuke Sadamori, general manager of the Energy Market and Security Department of IEA; Liu Yong, director of the Science and Technology Department of Shanxi University.

The seminar reviewed the development of coal market over the past year and offered advice towards to the transformation of the coal industry and its production line.

International Energy Agency, the Paris-based intergovernmental organization, coordinates the most influential energy management and policy in the world. It has more than 40 years of experience in providing energy policy advice and technology to member countries and partners. China formally joined the organization as a coalition nation in November 2015.
