The water polo squad from Shanxi University (SXU) won silver at the First National College Water Polo Tournament held in Kunshan, Jiangsu province from Dec 5 to 7.

More than 200 athletes from universities including Tongji University, Sun Yat-sen University, China University of Geosciences, and China University of Petroleum participated in the competition.

The event was organized by the Swimming Management Center of China’s General Administration of Sport and the Sports Association of Chinese College Students.

The event aims not only to promote the development of water polo but also to attract more attention to aquatic sports.
