SXU negotiates cooperation with University of Adelaide

Shanxi University held a meeting to negotiate cooperation with representatives from the University of Adelaide on Nov 28.

Noel Lindsay, assistant to the president and Sandy McConachy, director of the International Cooperation Department at the University of Adelaide attended the meeting. Also at the meeting were representatives led by Cheng Fangqin, vice-president of Shanxi University and officials from the Shanxi Provincial Office of Foreign Affairs.

Both Cheng and Lindsay introduced their universities, and held a discussion on cooperation between the two universities with a special focus on innovation and technological development.

Lindsay then delivered a lecture titled How the Entrepreneurial Game is Played, and visited the Research Institute of Resource and Environmental Engineering after the lecture.

The University of Adelaide is ranked in the top one percent of universities worldwide and a member of the Group of Eight, a coalition of Australia’s foremost research universities. The university boasts a number of Nobel laureates, Rhodes scholars, Fulbright scholars, and recognized alumni.
