SXU teacher recognized with two titles

Han Zhiqiang, a teacher at Shanxi University’s School of Journalism, was recently recognized with two titles at the 2017 National Advertising Art Design Competition for College Students and a forum held by the Academic Board of the China Advertising Association to mark the 30th anniversary of its founding.

The awards ceremony of the 2017 National Advertising Art Design Competition for College Students took place in Beijing on Nov 24, and involved more than 1,000 guests and representatives from official departments and media organizations, along with the organizing committee and competition winners.

Han was given a Special Award for Contributions to Advertising Education and is the first recipient of the title, which was created to specially commend his achievements and contributions to the field.

Han published a 600,000-word monograph on his 12 successive years entering the competition.

The following day, Han received a second award, this time from the academic board of the China Advertising Association at a forum attended by more than 300 people from the advertising field.

At the forum, Han was commended for this Outstanding Contributions to Academic Development of China’s Advertising.
