Shanxi University held a forum on social education, the first forum of its kind in China, from Nov 25 to 26.

Over 100 scholars from various universities and institutions such as Beijing Normal University, Nanjing Normal University and Shaanxi Normal University attended the forum.

Centering on the theme “inheritance and innovation of traditional social education”, the participants delivered over 40 articles to the organizing committee.

The participants held six sessions for discussions revolving around the history of China’s social education, and the practical and theoretical problems of social education.

The forum aimed to attract more attention from the education cycle to social education.
