SXU negotiates cooperation with Leeds

Stephen Scott, dean of the School of Mathematics and Physical Sciences at the University of Leeds, along with Associate Professor Rob Sturman visited Shanxi University to negotiate cooperation, on Nov 22.

Representatives from both universities held a meeting where the two parties introduced their respective universities. Both parties reached a preliminary consensus on an exchange program, with the aim of co-developing students.

The University of Leeds, established in 1904, is one of the largest higher education institutions in the UK. With a history dating back to 1831, the university has eight Nobel Prize winners as its alumni. It was included in the list of top 100 universities with reputable academic excellence, according to the QS World University Rankings 2018.

Professor Stephen Scott once served as vice-president of the University of Leeds. He is also one of the inventors of the Gray-Scott Model.
