SXU holds art exhibition

An exhibition of paintings by Han Zhimo opened at Shanxi University on Nov 5, displaying 220 works by the professor from the university’s Academy of Fine Arts. Included are oil paintings, sketches, illustrations and comic strips.

Around 400 people including artists, scholars, teachers and students from various universities as well as members of the Shanxi art community, attended the opening of the exhibition, which is being staged with the support of Shanxi Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Shanxi Association of Artists and Taiyuan Art Museum. The exhibition will run until Nov 19.

Professor Han is a member of the Chinese Artists Association and deputy-chairman of Shanxi Association of Artists. He once served as the dean of the Academy of Fine Arts at Shanxi University. At the exhibition’s opening ceremony, Professor Han donated a selection of his fine oil paintings to the Taiyuan Art Museum.
