Updated: 2017-10-12

Invited by Institute of Molecular Science, four scholars recently delivered lectures concerning chemical science and research at Shanxi University in Taiyuan.

They were Wang Laisheng and Wang Liqiong, professors from the Chemistry Department of Brown University of the United States; Li Jun, professor from the Chemistry Department of Tsinghua University; and Chen Xuenian, professor from Henan Normal University.

Professor Wang Laisheng gave a report titled Electrospray Photoelectron Spectroscopy: From Multiply-Charged Anions to Ultra-Cold Anions.

Professor Li Jun delivered a lecture titled From Nanocatalysis to Dynamic Single-Atom Catalysis, and Chen Xuenian gave a report regarding the Nucleophicility of B-H bond and syntheses of borane complexes.

Wang Liqiong gave a lecture themed around Probing nano and meso Porous Materials Using Hyper Polarized129Xe NMR.

Teachers and students from Institute of Molecular Science and the Chemistry Department listened to the reports, and some asked questions to the scholars regarding cutting-edge studies in the field of chemistry.
