The 2017 Fall Track and Field Sports Meeting concluded at Wucheng campus of Shanxi University (SXU) on Sept 30. During the two and a half days, college students, faculty members and rear-service staff actively participated in all types of athletic games.

Departments of Power Engineering, Software Engineering, and Politics and Public Administration claimed the top three spots in the men’s competitions in terms of total points. For the women, Departments of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Information Engineering and Power Engineering took the top three spots in terms of the aggregate.

In the women’s triple jump competition, Liu Yuehong from the Department of Physical Education broke the college record in Shanxi province with 11 meters and 81 centimeters.

University officials awarded the five outstanding departments who performed brilliantly last semester. The departments included College of Economics and Management, School of Mathematical Sciences, and Civil Engineering Faculty.
