Updated: 2017-08-28

Students from Shanxi University (SXU) won a total of 18 prizes during the National Undergraduate Electronics Design Contest, including six provincial-level first prizes and second prizes for 10 different projects.

The contest was co-hosted by the Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, with the purposes of driving curriculum reform of information and electronics majors at advanced education colleges, cultivating innovation ability among college students, and providing a platform to select talent in the sector.

In March, the Electronic and Information Engineering Department and Electronic Society at SXU organized entry events and preliminary tryouts. Eventually, 102 students and 25 teachers from electronics, automation, and electrical engineering courses formed 34 teams to participate in the contest.

From Aug 1 to 21, SXU teachers and students dealt with project selection, design, debugging, and report summaries during the intense competitions, showcasing the professional strength and passion for research among national colleges.
