SXU publishes significant H2S finding

Shanxi University (SXU) has made a significant breakthrough in the regulatory mechanism of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) signaling, which has great application potential in agriculture.

The research team at SXU's College of Life Science was headed by Professor Pei Yanxi, and worked with Professor Li Hua at SXU’s College of Environmental and Resource Sciences, as well as Doctor Zhai Jixian at Southern University of Science and Technology, to answer a long-standing question regarding how H2S production is elevated in plant defenses against heavy metal stress (HMs).

The finding was published in Plant Journal on July 3, providing a new way to increase agricultural production and reduce pollution from heavy metals.
