An exhibition of artwork from the first Shanxi University (SXU) Faculty Handicraft Competition was held from May 19 to 22 to showcase the artistic talents of the university's staff.

The competition was launched on April 20 and attracted 178 entries from 128 staff members. The entries included various kinds of handicrafts, such as knitted items, clay sculptures and paper-cuttings.

The exhibits were focused on promoting traditional Chinese culture and modern technology.
