University of Adelaide seeks partnership with SXU

A delegation from Australia's University of Adelaide visited Shanxi University (SXU) on May 9 to seek a partnership with the university.

Julie Owens, vice-president of The University of Adelaide, introduced the university's disciplinary research fields and extended her hopes that the University of Adelaide will successfully cooperate with SXU in academic communications, training and economics.

The Australian delegation was welcomed by Shanxi University officials. Acknowledging the many similarities between the two institutions, Cheng Fangqin, vice-president of SXU, expressed that she looked forward to cooperating in IT, biomedicine and big data research.

Established in 1874, the University of Adelaide consistently ranks in the top 1 percent of universities worldwide, with a global reputation for conducting world-leading research across a wide spectrum of areas, including engineering, environmental sciences, humanities and the creative arts.
