Jia Suotang, president of Shanxi University, expressed his view that the exhibition furthers the partnership between the two sides and is a bridge between Taiyuan and St. Petersburg. He also lauded the city and Russia's achievements in the arts.

The Academy of Fine Arts at Shanxi University held an exhibition themed around dialects in St. Petersburg during October 2016, which has strengthened art exchanges between the two parties.

The event will last for 10 days.
