As autumn arrives, Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province becomes filled with the scent of osmanthus.

You don't need to search carefully, as osmanthus trees are found all over the old urban areas and along the roads. Here are some recommended spots where you can enjoy their sweetness.

Huishan Ancient Town is home to several century-old osmanthus trees. You can enjoy different perspectives from the backyard of Huyuan Osmanthus Hall (胡园桂花厅), the courtyard of Datong Hall (大同殿) at Huishan Temple (惠山寺), and the entrance of Jichang Garden (寄畅园).

Plum Garden boasts the largest number of osmanthus trees in Wuxi. It has become a nationally renowned specialty garden for viewing various osmanthus varieties. Key viewing spots include the Hengshan Mountain(横山) hillside, the Rong family's ancestral house (荣氏祖屋), the park's main pathways, the Huaxi Scenic Area (花溪区域), and the Xiaojingu Valley (小金谷).

In Yuantouzhu Scenic Area, you can find osmanthus west of Huashen Temple (花神庙) and in Xiake Square (霞客广场) near Changchun Bridge (长春桥).

The osmanthus blossomed overnight at the Three Kingdoms and Water Margin Theme Park. You can take photos at Juxian Hall (聚贤堂), Xiangning Palace (香宁宫), Octagonal Pavilion (八角亭), Imperial Garden (御花园), and Kuaihuolin Forest (快活林).
