The five tourist resorts in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, were recently distinguished with an excellence rating by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.

These resorts include Taihu National Tourist Resort, Yangxian Ecotourism Resort, Jiangnan Ancient Canal Tourist Resort, Yangshan Ecological Leisure Tourism Resort, and Taihu Shanshui City Tourist Resort.

The Taihu National Tourist Resort in Binhu district boasts beautiful surroundings and the reputation of "limpid water, clear air, and clean land", serving as an important green lung in downtown Wuxi.

The resort encompasses the national 5A-level scenic area of Lingshan Mountain Scenic Area, the national 4A-level scenic area of Helyu Relics Museum, as well as a series of cultural and tourism destinations such as Nianhua Bay and Longtou Island.

Yangxian Ecotourism Resort in Yixing, a county-level city in Wuxi, features five national 4A-level scenic areas and 17 characteristic scenic spots, along with nearly 450 holiday hotels, boutique inns, and homestays.

This year, the resort has hosted events such as the second China Intangible Cultural Heritage Preservation Annual Conference and the Yangxian 100 Off-Road Challenge, significantly enhancing the influence of Yangxian cultural tourism.

The Jiangnan Ancient Canal Tourist Resort, located in Liangxi district, the downtown area of Wuxi, boasts convenient transportation. The over 2,500-year-old Grand Canal passes through the city, offering the best vantage point to appreciate the water towns of Jiangnan.

The resort features the Jiangnan water towns connected by the canal, where the Qingming Bridge Historical and Cultural Block resembles a beautiful painting, blending traditional Jiangnan residences with modern businesses seamlessly.

In recent years, Yangshan Ecological Leisure Tourism Resort in Huishan district has focused on optimizing mountain forest trails and organizing tourism festivals. New attractions like Taoxin Island Camping Base and Shannantou Cultural and Art Village have been introduced to enrich the tourism offerings.

As a hub of tourism resources in Wuxi, the Taihu Shanshui City Tourist Resort in Binhu district highlights a 47.5-kilometer lakeshore, boasting two 5A-level scenic areas of Yuantouzhu and the Three Kingdoms and Water Margin Theme Park, as well as the large-scale theme park Sunac Resort. Historical relics and ancient villages are scattered throughout the area, making it a leisure destination where natural landscapes and cultural heritage harmoniously blend.
