Wuxi's transport card available to holders of foreign permanent resident ID cards

Holders of the foreign permanent resident ID card of the People's Republic of China can apply for the transportation card in Wuxi, Jiangsu province.
The upgrade and trial operation of the current transportation card system has been completed. Expats holding the card can use it to apply for various "Taihu Transportation Cards", allowing them to enjoy the same discounts when taking buses and subways within the jurisdiction of Wuxi.

At the city's Taihu Transportation Card service points, the foreign permanent resident ID card can be used just like a Chinese ID card.
Both the card's 2017 version and the new version can be used independently as personal identification documents to apply for various transportation cards at the physical service points. There is no need to provide additional documents such as a passport.
