Wuxi, one of the cities with the Grand Canal running through, showcased its culture and tourist attractions at the sixth Grand Canal Culture and Tourism Expo, which was held in Suzhou from Sept 12 to 15.

Unlike the retro design in previous editions, the Wuxi pavilion in this edition looks more modern and fashionable. In collaboration with robot dancers, players of the Wuxi Chinese Orchestra performed electronic folk music, and the Taihu stone-shaped transparent statue at the entrance of the Wuxi pavilion created a strong technology vibe with the lighting fixture.

A VR experience zone was also set up at the Wuxi pavilion, where expo-goers can have an immersive experience at local attractions, such as a deer playing around them at the Nianhua Bay scenic area.
Wuxi tourist attractions displayed their cultural and creative products at the expo. The Xiju Opera Art Center presented Pearl Pagoda-themed bowls with fitted covers, silk scarves with Xiju Opera characters, and zisha teapots. Donglin Academy showed products related to studies, such as bookmarks and pendants.

On Sept 13, Wuxi also unveiled the latest travel routes at the expo, inspiring expo-goers' longing for the charming Jiangnan city.
