Driverless microbuses start trial operations in downtown Wuxi

A new fleet of driverless microbuses started trial operations on a route within Liangxi district in downtown Wuxi, Jiangsu province, on Aug 1, local media reported.
The pure electric buses, using intelligent hardware and advanced backend algorithms, boast functions such as autonomous decision-making, lane changing, overtaking, dynamic obstacle avoidance, and adaptive cruising during operation, all while maintaining high-level safety.

Spanning 9 kilometers, the new route connects several iconic buildings within the city, helping tourists and local residents immersively experience Wuxi's rich history and prosperity.
During trial operations, both tourists and residents are welcome to take the driverless buses free of charge.

Route: Former Residence of Xue Fucheng, Chongan Temple, Donglin Academy, Nanchan Temple, Nanchang Street, Nanchan Temple, Huaigu Bridge, Chongan Temple
Departure times: 9 am, 9:20 am, 10 am, 10:20 am, 11:20 am, 1 pm, 2 pm, 2:20 pm, 3 pm, 3:20 pm, 4 pm (only on weekends), 4:20 pm (only on weekends)
