Wuxi resumes direct passenger flights to Singapore
Singaporean Jetstar Airways flight 3K833, loaded with Singaporean tourists, recently touched down at Sunan Shuofang International Airport, Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, marking the first direct flight between the two places since the suspension.
Passenger flights between the two places officially resumed on Dec 28, a development expected to further promote exchanges in trade, tourism, and culture.
Managed by Jetstar Airways, the route currently operates two flights per week. Starting from Jan 15, 2024, an additional two flights will be added to the weekly schedule.
The flight departs Wuxi at 1:30 pm and arrives in Singapore at 6:55 pm. The return flight departs at 7:10 am and arrives in Wuxi at 12:30 pm.
"Since the resumption is announced in October, Wuxi residents have showed strong interests in the route," noted a staff member from Shuofang airport. He added that through Jetstar Airways, the airport will launch intercontinental routes connecting Australia and New Zealand.
