Wuxi tourist attractions among spots along national travel routes

Four tourist attractions in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, were recently listed among the spots along the Yangtze River-themed national travel routes by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
Hongshan National Archaeological Site Park and Helv City Ruins Museum are added to the routes for their cultural value.

The former is considered to be the cradle of Wu culture and has a tomb complex from the Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 BC) and Warring States Period (475-221 BC) that lies along the Yangtze River while the latter exhibits the inheritance, research and experience of Wu culture.

The Yuantouzhu Island scenic area, or Turtle Head Isle scenic area, is among the national travel routes for its scenic landscape. Yuantouzhu is known for its natural landscapes, pastoral scenes, and classical Jiangnan-style gardens and it is a gift endowed by nature, as people can bask in its green hills and crystal-clear water.

Fuxi village in Yixing, a county-level city in Wuxi, is listed for its rural vitalization efforts. Over the years, Fuxi village has invested heavily to improve its natural environment, infrastructure facilities, and supporting facilities for tourism. Fuxi has also developed an agricultural sector and rural tourism unique to the village, including tea, fruit picking, and rehabilitation.
