A team from the Supreme People's Court (SPC) recently conducted a survey at the Beijing Fourth Intermediate People's Court (BFIPC) to learn about the progress made in the work on foreign-related commercial trials.
The team consisted of Long Fei, judge of the No 4 Civil Adjudication Tribunal of the SPC and director of the coordination and guidance office of the International Commercial Court of the SPC, along with two judges and a judge assistant of the SPC.
Shan Guojun, president of the BFIPC, Li Yingxin, vice-president of the BFIPC, Ma Jun, chief judge of the Beijing International Commercial Court (BICC), Mei Yu, deputy chief judge of the BICC, and related officials engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions with the visiting team.
The BICC meticulously prepared research materials on the work progress, data analysis, typical cases, and files of foreign-related commercial trials. They provided a detailed report on various working mechanisms to promote the construction of a high-level court, which was affirmed by the survey team.
Under the guidance of the SPC and the Beijing High People's Court, the BICC has adhered to high standards from a systematic perspective to promote the work of the court, continuously strengthened professional construction of foreign-related commercial trials, optimized the foreign-related commercial trial mechanism, and further implemented strategies for high-quality foreign-related trials, in a bid to resolve various international commercial disputes in a fair and efficient manner.
In the next step, the BICC will purse innovative development in accordance with the practical situation of the capital city with a global vision, focus on the central task and serve the nation’s overall interests, and contribute more judicial wisdom and strength to advance the high-level opening-up of the capital city through more active judicial action and high-quality judicial services.
