A three-layer composite material has been designed to be applied to this new protective clothing, which can be recycled and reused at least ten times. Its sealing effect is also better than disposable protective clothing, so it can more effectively protect medical staff.
This reusable medical protective clothing has been developed by BW Techtextile, a technology-based enterprise supplying sectors such as firefighters, regimental police, industry and emergency health workers.
Founded in 1994, it has produced over one million items of disposable medical protective clothing since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

The costs of reusable medical protective clothing are higher than the traditional disposable pieces. “But considering the manufacturing costs, usage count, cost of disinfection and manual management, this reusable protective clothing is more economical,” said Wang Xuguang, technical director of BW Techtextile.
“It is more comfortable to wear because of the new material,” he added.

In addition to medical protective clothing, the enterprise also supplied emergency medical tents for Guangdong medical teams during the COVID-19 pandemic.
At present, the daily output of its disposable and reusable medical protective clothing is 2,000 and 200 items respectively.
