Festive lanterns usher in new year

Fifty-two sets of festive lanterns light up Expo park in Beijing as the city ushers in the new year.

Spectacular lanterns of various sizes and themes - ranging from the Spring Festival to the 2022 Winter Olympic Games - offer visitors a feast for the eyes at the site of the 2019 Beijing International Horticultural Exposition.

The display runs from January 1 to February 29.
