Located between Qianshan and Nanping bridges, the two-way four-lane span starts at the intersection of Rongtai and Jinji roads in the north and stretches southward to Shoufeng Road. It also leads to Xianqiao Road in Nanping, making short-distance travel more convenient for residents from nearby large residential communities such as Huafa New City.
The new bridge is part of the 3.7-km (2.3-mile) Qianshan-Nanping secondary main road project constructed by Huafa Group, which includes an overpass over Zhuhai Avenue and the sidewalks of Shoufeng Road that have been put into operation in 2021.
Having been lit up since January, the distinctive European-style main bridge and bridgeheads echo other spans over Qianshan River such as the Baishi Bridge. Sidewalks of the self-anchored suspension bridge are equipped with handrails shaped like Roman columns and elevators are installed at both ends of the structure to provide convenience for pedestrians.
Of note, vehicles heading to Daishan and North Qianhe roads on the north side of the bridge have to detour from the Rongtai-Jinji road intersection, and those bounding for South Qianhe road have to detour from Fenghua Road or choose other bridges.
