November's International Science, Technology & Innovation Forum of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) is expected to help local sci-tech innovation, industrial development, and international cooperation, and inject impetus into Zhuhai's high-quality development.

The comment was made Oct 13 by an official of the National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Tangjiawan) during a promotion there of the BFA forum. It will be held Nov 15-17 at the Zhuhai International Convention & Exhibition Center.

Representatives of Zhuhai industrial parks and hi-tech enterprises inquired about forum topics, requirements, matchmaking opportunities, and anti-epidemic measures. Expected at the forum are 1,500 government officials, experts, scholars, international and non-government organization heads, and enterprise and industrial association representatives.

Themed "Innovation Empowers Sustainable Development," the forum will address the driving force of innovation, innovative living, and cooperation, said Li Guangtao of the Organizing Committee. Sub-forums will focus on 5G, genetic engineering, intellectual property rights, new materials, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, traditional Chinese medicine in modern times, quantum technology, "smart" driving, carbon neutrality, blockchain technology, aeronautics and astronautics, Industry 4.0, and fintech.

The BFA International Science, Technology & Innovation Forum Organizing Committee and Zhuhai Municipal People's Government will organize the event under the umbrella of BFA and Guangdong Provincial People's Government.
