North gate of Zhuhai flourishes with intelligent industry
Industrial land in Zhuhai Intelligent Industrial Park is being prepared for nine high-end innovation projects costing 7.6 billion yuan ($1.2 billion) and creating an industry-city integration area with intelligent ecology on the city's north border.
The projects encompass big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and Internet of Things industries. And the building sites cover 397,000 sqm (98 acres) of the park's 1.23 million sqm (304 acres) in the Beiwei area of the Technological Innovation Coast in Tangjiawan. The tech coast itself is the 2.37-million-sqm (586-acre) aggregated zone next to Zhuhai North Railway Station and encased by North Jinfeng, Xingbei, and Xingnan roads and a link line of the Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway.

One of the nine projects, costing 2 billion yuan ($309.4 million), the China-Israel International Industrial Park occupies 74,000 sqm (18 acres) north of Fifth Xinsha Road and east of Eight Xinwan Road. It includes six R&D office buildings, two talent apartments, a sales center, and annex garden-style office building with total floorage of 346,500 sqm (86 acres).
Nearby, China-Israel Accelerator Industrial Park will attract investment in new energy, new materials, IoT, and AI sectors by the end of this year. It will serve as a matchmaker for Zhuhai and Israeli innovative technologies and accelerate the industrialization of advanced Israeli technology in Zhuhai.
The 30,000-sqm (7-acre) Intelligent Bay Innovation Center north of Dingxing Road and east of Eighth Xinwan Road is being furnished and having utilities installed to begin operation by the end of the year. It costs more than 800 million yuan ($124 million).
Five high-rises and four multi-story buildings will house maker spaces, incubators, and accelerators to provide full-lifecycle services for sci-tech enterprises engaging in big health and semiconductor industries.
In terms of support facilities, construction began Aug 20 of the China Resources Bank of Zhuhai Building and CR Land Square north of South Jinye Road and west of Fifth Xinwan Road. The 21,500-sqm (5-acre) public green corridor, 3,000-sqm (3/4-acre) cultural and leisure facilities, and 24-class primary school will be transferred to Tangjiawan free of charge.
Municipal infrastructure and a road network for the aggregated zone have already been completed.
