Gree, Huafa, Ninestar are regulars on Fortune China 500
Zhuhai Gree Electric Appliances, Huafa Properties, and Ninestar Corp have made the current Fortune China 500 list that was released July 20.
Gree Electric Appliances, the domestic household appliance giant based in Qianshan, has been among China's top 500 companies for 12 consecutive years. It dropped 15 places from the previous edition to 69th with annual operating revenue of 170.5 billion yuan ($26.3 billion) in 2020.
Headquartered in Nanping, Huafa Properties is a real estate company that develops residential, commercial, and tourism properties. It moved up 68 places to 228th with annual operating revenue of 51.01 billion yuan ($7.87 billion) last year.

Ninestar, one of the world's top five laser printer manufacturers, is listed for the fourth consecutive year. Based at Nanping Science & Technology Industrial Park, it dropped 88 places to 480th with annual operating revenue of 19.59 billion yuan ($3.02 billion) last year.
The Fortune China 500 list is compiled by the Chinese edition of Fortune magazine and China International Capital Corporation Wealth Management and is based on the performance of all Chinese listed companies over the past year. A hundred enterprises from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area made the list this year.
In recent years, Zhuhai enterprises have appeared frequently in authoritative corporate rankings as the city becomes a major hotbed of global emerging industries.
Five 100-billion-yuan ($15.43-billion) industrial clusters related to integrated circuits, biomedicine, new materials, new energy, and high-end printing equipment are taking shape in Zhuhai during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), while high-end equipment manufacturing industries like aeronautics and astronautics are expanding.
