Bee+ Co-working Space in the Hengqin International Commercial Center South Tower is 100 percent occupied with 900 young entrepreneurs building innovative enterprises and providing impetus for the diversified development of Macao's industries.

Zhuhai Da Heng Qin Group and Bee+ Technology began the operation in 2019 for Zhuhai and Macao innovative enterprises. The "space" comprises 5,000 sq m (56,000 sq ft) on two floors of the centrally located building. It provides high-standard, tailor-made executive suites, conference and video conferencing facilities, and a choice of diversified business services. The leisure office area holds a two-story water bar, mini book bar, telephone booths, and cabin for noon breaks. The 360-degree floor-to-ceiling windows allow for a commanding view of the Zhuhai and Macao cityscapes.

Of the in-house enterprises, 41 percent are from Macao, 46 percent from Zhuhai, and a small percentage from overseas. Most are engaged in scientific and technological innovation, cultural and tourism service, and cross-border trade. The proportion of sci-tech innovation enterprises rose from 24 percent in 2019 to 55 percent in 2020.

Tenants include domestically renowned artificial intelligence enterprise AISpeech; world-leading one-package display control chip solution provider Chipone Technology; Banana In, a printing sci-tech enterprise set up by Macao university students; and Pineapple Chain, a sci-tech finance platform established by Macao youth.

Over the past two years, the industrial space has bridged exchanges between Zhuhai and Macao youths through activities, mutual visits, and joint communities. It has been selected as a Demonstration Site for the United Front Work Innovation of New Stratums in Zhuhai and Macao Youth Innovation-Entrepreneurship Base in Hengqin.

Founded in 2015, Bee+ is a spatial products operator that helps traditional real estate developers innovate and upgrade their "work + life" spaces relying on internet technology and innovative sci-tech products.
