Qianshan center to monitor Greater Bay food quality
The Zhuhai Agricultural Produce Logistics & Safety Testing Center was topped off on April 16, will be completed by June, and open before next year.
The center is sited on Gudu Avenue (G105) in Qianshan, Xiangzhou District. It consists of one eight-story and two four-story units covering 2.7 hectares (6.7 acres) with floor space of 6.8 hectares (16.8 acres).

It is designed to integrate sales, processing and distribution, cold chain transportation, logistics and warehousing, quarantines, and the management of vegetables, fruits, dry goods, frozen food, and fresh aquatic products. Meanwhile, e-commerce will expand sales channels.
The Gongbei Customs Technology Center will help create Zhuhai's first agricultural product safety testing base. Costing 262 million-yuan ($39 million), the facility will provide professional logistics and supervise the safety of agricultural products for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Zhuhai Agricultural Investment Holding Group, a subsidiary of Zhuhai Agricultural Holding Group, is to ensure that agri-products for Hong Kong and Macao meet high quality standards.
Plans require the agricultural center to focus on logistics park management and international and domestic trade. In addition, areas receiving poverty alleviation aid from Zhuhai will have access to high-level farm produce sales. Produce sales will also promote rural revitalization.
Envisioned is an international agricultural products trading center on the west bank of the Pearl River Estuary within three years.
