The engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract is valued at 10.5 billion yuan ($1.5 billion). It calls for the apartments to have combined floor space of 30 hectares (74 acres). The three-story kindergarten will have 18 classrooms to serve more than 500 families. Its floorage is designed at 6,962 sq m (1.7 acres).
Total floor space of 116 hectares (267 acres) will serve all of Hengqin Science City Phase 1 -- a modern green comprehensive industrial park. The park will serve as a model for industry-city integration and advance artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, and life science.
